The 2025 West Coast Wax Up was held in windy cross on shore 3-5ft conditions at Possos on Sat Feb 8th 2025

More than 50 surfers took to the water on traditional longboards in both individual and teams disciplines at Point Impossible Beach.

All surfers went full on, some were awarded big scores for style and effort but all were impressive in the tricky conditions

Taking off on bombs, surfers in the open womens were cheered by the hundreds of people hanging on the beach, oth spectators and compeditiors were all smiles and in  super good spirtits.

The event kicked off the night before the comp with a film night where the new longboard shot on 16mm "Some Like It Classic" premiereed for the southern states of Australia that night.

Cash presentations and other prizes were awardewd to winners at a rocking after party with live music held in conjunction with Torquay SLSC.
