Surfcoast Longboarders June Comp report..

While the chill in the morning air is upon us we had a lovely sunny day to launch into Winter. With Laney safely away in warmer waters Brian was frothing to get this one started even though the waves looked a little inconsistent at first sight. Luckily as the day progressed the waves held up and seemed to pulse every now and then with some heats lucking in more than others. The wind remained light throughout and the sun shone down, what a lovely day for Penny to celebrate her day of birth.

Once again we had a great turnout from the juniors and women’s divisions and the mystery final was highly contested as a fun way to finish the day. Mid-morning we had a visit from the Bethany Foundation and were able to present our cheque of moneys raised from the Wild Women on Water event 2018. All round a beautiful day and a great start to winter.
